Man United’s stance on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sacking confirmed
An insight into the stance of the hierarchy at Manchester United, when it comes to the future of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has been forthcoming on Saturday evening.
Foxes run riot
Solskjaer of course led his side back into action a short time ago.
After stuttering to just a solitary win in four prior to the international break, the Red Devils made the trip to Leicester, eyeing a much-needed return to form.
Upon the final whistle sounding at the King Power Stadium, however, United’s concerns only continued to mount.
Despite netting twice on the day, a dismal defensive display ultimately saw the visitors put to the sword by four goals to two, owing to strikes from all of Youri Tielemans, Caglar Soyuncu, Jamie Vardy and substitute Patson Daka:

Solskjaer latest
Man United, in turn, have slipped a full four points off the early pace of table-topping Liverpool, whilst a Chelsea victory over Brentford would see the Manchester giants fall even further behind.
It has therefore proven altogether unsurprising to see the club’s fanbase up in arms this evening, amid ever-mounting calls for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be relieved of his duties with immediate effect.
And, as outlined above, a fresh insight into the chances of precisely that coming to fruition has since been provided.
The news, though, will no doubt come as a heavy blow for those of an ‘Ole out’ persuasion.
As per the reliable David Ornstein of The Athletic, the hierarchy at Old Trafford, as things stand, have no intention of making a change on the club’s bench, with Solskjaer’s position viewed as ‘100% secure’:
As things stand Ole Gunnar Solskjaer position as Manchester United manager understood to be 100% secure. Despite poor run of form 48yo still has support of #MUFC board. Signed new contract in running until 2024 with option of further year @TheAthleticUK https://t.co/vgM5p1WMNW
